Steps
to commission Fine Art |
| |
First we will need to determine the purpose, content and budget for your commissioned portrait; various ideas will be discussed such as what to wear, possible poses and the setting or background. When all has been discussed, a cost estimate will be given.
Upon agreement a contract will be drawn along with an estimated time-line. Fifty percent required as a down payment. I work from photographs and life studies.
If the model is available, a schedule for sittings can be arranged. This could be from one to several sittings, anywhere from half hour to two hours in length.
The Portrait can take anywhere from one to two months after the first meeting. The time varies to complexity, dimensions and the individual commission requirements. We will access the work of art at the end, and declare it completed when we are mutually satisfied. At this time the final payment is due.
